About The Role

As Production and Project Manager at Pupil, you will play a critical role in driving activities for the successful delivery of projects. You will work closely with the BIM Manager, Production Team, Operations and other stakeholders to coordinate team management, project tasks, timelines, and facilitate delivering high-quality products to clients.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in BIM project management, architectural coordination, or related roles.
  • Point Cloud Experience: Experience working with point cloud data for measured surveys and Scan-to-BIM workflows.
  • ISO 19650 (Advantageous): Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards for BIM project delivery and information management is beneficial, particularly in structuring data and following standardised workflows.
Project Management

  • Experience managing multiple projects with a strong focus on timelines, scope, and deliverables.
Leadership & Communication

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Proven experience in conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for team development.
  • Proven experience leading remote teams, ensuring clear communication, consistent performance, and strong team engagement across locations.
Technical Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of BIM processes, tools, including Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ability to track and analyse BIM data, including resource utilisation and quality control metrics.
  • Understanding of RICS code of measurement practice. (Advantageous)

Responsibilities

Workflow Planning & Coordination

  • Oversee the daily management of BIM and Floorplanning production team tasks and responsibilities, providing guidance and support for any queries to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
  • Actively address challenges, prioritise tasks, and facilitate communication across teams to maintain efficiency and productivity throughout the day.
  • Ensure alignment between project teams, sales, operations, and modellers to achieve the successful delivery of projects.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across all departments to ensure a unified approach toward the end goal of project delivery.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent BIM projects throughout the entire production lifecycle, ensuring adherence to established timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and delivery, ensuring that all scope deliverables are completed with the appropriate level of detail and meet output requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-scope project timeline planning to ensure adequate time is allocated for effective resource planning and accurate cost estimation.
  • Detail-oriented project management to ensure all team members' inquiries are thoroughly addressed and obstacles are resolved, keeping the project moving forward with full team alignment.

Team Management

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle for a remote team, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of BIM technicians and survey drafters.
  • Facilitate structured onboarding programs to ensure new team members are effectively integrated into tools, workflows, and company culture.
  • Oversee scheduling and approval of annual leave, ensuring adequate project coverage and workload balance across the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of leave, working hours, and team availability, coordinating with HR and operations where needed.
  • Monitor team morale and engagement, proactively addressing concerns and promoting a supportive remote work environment.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain reporting systems and workflows to monitor quality, efficiency, and adherence to modelling standards, ensuring robust quality control processes and consistent implementation of internal standards.
  • Monitor project reporting and leverage key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance overall efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and implement key performance indicators within the team to effectively monitor efficiency, assess capabilities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse utilisation reports to assess resource efficiency, optimise team workload distribution, and support data-driven decision-making for improved operational performance.

Process Optimisation

  • Partner with operations and project managers to define, develop, and formalize effective production strategies that align with project objectives, optimise workflows, and support consistent, high-quality delivery across teams.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify key learnings and insights, using them to drive continuous improvement in processes, workflows, and overall team performance.
  • Collaborate with the tech and operational teams to assess internal tools and recommend enhancements for improved functionality and efficiency.

Training & Upskilling

  • Lead collaborative training sessions to ensure all team members are consistently aligned with current processes and internal workflow standards.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions alongside the BIM manager, with team members, tailored to address individual challenges and support both technical development and overall professional growth.
  • Lead the development and continuous updating of comprehensive training materials, ensuring every team member stays aligned with the latest processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans for team members not meeting KPIs, providing structured support, goals, and check-ins to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Support industry alignment by encouraging relevant certifications and professional development, helping to retain talent through clear growth pathways and skills recognition.
